Reverting[edit]
To answer your question, reverting involves going to the previous version of a page by clicking on the appropriate date in the history page, editing that and then saving it. Administrators have a rollback link that allows them to roll back all of a user's sequential contributions easily, but anyone can revert. --GreenReaper(talk) 09:29, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
Here's a step by step for manual reverting for yee. :)
- From the article page, click the History tab.
- Click the link made up of the date/time of the last good version.
- That version is displayed in full with little previous version, next version links. Read the page and check its the right one.
- Click that version's Edit this page tab.
- You'll see an edit page with the warning: WARNING: You are editing an out-of-date revision of this page. If you save it, any changes made since this revision will be lost.
- Scroll to the bottom and fill in to the edit summary suitable comments to say you are reverting and the reasons why. Eg: Revert due to vandal or Reverting due to unchecked facts, please cite a source.
- Save the page and the old version will be restored as a new edit.

TMI on Wikifur![edit]
What's the policy on people just making vain, overly-attentive sites on Wikifur? Some of these people are really just putting too much trivial information on their own site. Here's an example. I want to just start deleting out obviously vain, purposeless data, but I don't know the policy on it. Yeah, I know, we all want to see our name on the web, I am guilty of it too, but I feel like there is a line being crossed here. --Brody 15:42, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
- To quote DuncanDaHusky on another talk page, WikiFur has no problem with vanity pages. As long as everything said is factual and non-biased, it's more or less allowed. Anything that's obviously not encyclopediac, however, such as friends lists, personal opinions/claims ("the best _____"), and the like, should be moved to the person's user page, if applicable. FAOD sexual orientation poll?[edit]
Last year one of your edits to Homosexuality article included that FAOD did a sexual orientation poll (FAOD = Furry Army of Doom?). I was hoping you knew the URL of that poll and could add it to the Homosexuality article. --EarthFurst 16:37, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. Updated the Furtopia numbers too, since the poll is still open. Thinking about researching the story of how that guy (Merlino?) brought the gay community to CF early on as a possible theory to put on the page. -- Brody 9/5/07
Creator of first Furry Musicians panel?[edit]
After thinking about the Musical Furs panel I ran at Anthrocon in 2000, I was wondering if there was any furry musicians panel before that time. (All I saw before that was masquerade performances.) It's something I'd add to my page if so.
Damn right, I'll take credit if I can. -- Brody 9/5/07
RCFM charity figures?[edit]
Hi Brody - would you able to give more exact figures for RCFM's charity donations? We're trying to get this article published, but RCFM's figures for all years but 2006 are imprecise. I sent you an email on this just prior to the New Year, but I think it may have got junk-filed. :-) --GreenReaper(talk) 23:17, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
- I did get it, just been really really busy, so sorry. Feels like *I* have been junk filed! :) Brody 19:26, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
- No worries, I knew you guys would likely be busy with the con and other matters. Good luck climbing out of that junk folder. *grin* --GreenReaper(talk) 22:03, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
- Here's what I have so far - 2003 $550, 2004 "Just over" $1,000, 2005 "Just over" $1,200, 2006 $1,364, 2007 "Just over" $2,000. The approximations occur because small amounts of money are often given directly to Joel (the PCDS rep) without the Treasurer (me) ever seeing it. For example, the count of $1738 in 2007 was increased with an impassioned plea at Closing Ceremonies, a hat was passed around, and we reached 2k. The money was given directly to Joel and that's the last I saw of it. I'm currently contacting Joel to see if he has the exact numbers. Brody 14:55, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
Image:RCFMhotelDriveway.jpg[edit]
Hello Brody,
This is in regards to Image:RCFMhotelDriveway.jpg. It has not been tagged with a copyright status. This can be a complicated area, so I can try to help if you need any. The Wikipedia Image use policy may give some background, but it isn't policy here.
To deal with this image, there are a few choices:
- If you are the copyright holder, release it under a free license, for example:
- Public domain {{PDImage}}
- Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike {{Cc-by-sa-2.5}}
- GFDL {{GFDL}}
- If you are asserting that this image is usable under fair use, add an appropriate fair use tag. A very basic summary is that fair use is used for commentary, criticism and review on the image when no free image could be used instead. Some fair use tags are:
- Logos: {{logo}}
- Covers: {{Cover}}
- Comic panels: {{Comic-panel}}
- If the image is already under a free license, provide information on the license, and tag the image if you can.
- If you would like the image to be deleted, ask any administrator
To see a list of current copyright tags available on WikiFur, see Category:Image copyright tags If the copyright status is not resolved, the image may be deleted.
Unless you have a question for me specifically, I'd prefer responses on the page for the image. --Rat 03:15, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
