Wing Commander

Wing Commander is science fiction space simulation franchise that was released for the PC and ported to the SNES and most recently to the Playstation Portable. The game pitted its human characters from the Terran Confederation against the aggressive and feline Kilrathi a preditory warrior race. Performance in the cockpit notably affected gameplay during certain critical missions which could also affect plot progress.
The animated series[edit]
Wing Commander Academy was a thirteen episode animated series based on Wing Commander. It was shown on the USA Network in 1996.
The Movie[edit]
The Wing Commander franchise eventually spawned a movie in 1999, starring Freddie Prinze Jr., Saffron Burrows, Matthew Lillard among others, but it was a box office bomb.
