Hallo. As it was (a couple of links and request to expand the stub), the article was not ready for inclusion yet (see a full article like Splash Fusky as an example). If you still working on it, is best to build it on your user page, then copy/paste as an article when is ready to be published.

Request: Source citations

Heyo Spirou, thanks for all your patience and help with my page so far.

I have some sources you can use for my WikiFur page, which I've put in the Talk page of my article.

I don't know how to add citations but if you can add an example I can just copy and paste stuff myself, which is entirely how I wrote the original article.

Here's a link to my blog where I reference my immigration, which you can add as a citation for my immigration under "early life" and change "at the age of 16" to "under the age of 18".

Issues with citation templates

Hey Spirou, I'm curious as to your comment on this revision where you mention that the reference templates I've been working on lately were "bombing" Safari. I also use Safari as my main browser and haven't encountered issues. Are you able to provide more info on what's causing problems, or what affect it seems to be having? Saving on preview causes the page to lock, and eventually crash. Does not happen on (Apple-approved) Chrome or Edge (could be a Safari extension issue, maybe Grammarly). first page with this type of reference edit use instead of the ones we have been using since day one, is there a reason for using this type now?. If this is GreenReaper approved, no prob, but syntax that may cause a possible crash could be an issue (if extension related, could be a pain if I have to switch them off to just edit an article) - Spirou (talk) 14:51, 23 February 2022 (EST)

My assumption would be that it would be extension related if it's not happening in other browsers. Nothing too weird in the syntax either, it's pretty much the same as what Wikipedia were using before they transitioned all their major templates over to Lua (which WikiFur doesn't support).

I started updating and using citation templates (most already existed, just hadn't been used or updated for several years) to try and bring some consistency to citations. I personally find it easier to assemble them if there's a template with specific parameters and formats to use, and it of course removes some human error from the equation. Most other wiki projects I contribute to also use such templates, so WikiFur either lacking equivalents, or those equivalents being so massively out of step, was pretty jarring for me. They're not something I'm pushing to be a standard on WikiFur, but they're a tool I personally find useful. — beeps (talk, contribs) 15:15, 23 February 2022 (EST)

I created the account GrantGraywolf about 7 hours ago. I can see why you blocked me, since I didn't contribute anything and made no edits to my user page. My email address and IP are both blocked as well, so I'm sending this from my phone.

My intent was to edit the page for Longhorn Furs and create an article for its successor org, Longhorn Furries. I'm smack in the middle of finals season so I didn't get to this right away. I've also read through WikiFur:About and understand wiki policy.

(*Facepalm*). Oookay, using another account to circumvent the ban you should be in? (...disregard this time only once). Alright, again, as stated elsewhere, your "work" was not destroyed, it is still on your account's talk page (here).

You created a "Create-n-Forget" (more than 24/48 hours with no further edits after the first creation time) article for Hiena Frappe, which you then left bareboned and incomplete. In the past, these types of articles were actually deleted, but now, if there is a minimum of data now, they are moved to the original creator's Talk Page (in your case, again, here), which it gives the original editor time to flesh out the article until is ready to post on the main page.

That said, if I can understand your above response, I hope this is for another (human) user, which is fine. But if it is for your fursona only, nope. Back in 2022 last year, I added other forms of media Spider-Ham has appeared in. But even though it is said that Sub-Marsupial is an opossum, it is unknown what kind this character is so I added that this character is possibly one.

Clarify policy about infoboxes

Hello Spirou, recently you reverted an edit of mine where I added Template:Infobox person to an article, with the following reason given: -Peson infobox. Imfoboxes are used on special article only (notability, death, others), sry. I am confused about this, since the person whom the article is about is deceased and should therefore qualify. I am also confused about where this policy is found as I have not encountered it before. I have reviewed WikiFur:Policies and guidelines and I do not see any restrictions on where person infoboxes (which in my opinion, are simply a formatting tool) can be used. Can you please clarify where this policy is listed? I also request that you edit the Usage section of Template:Infobox person to include the policy there so that future editors can be aware of it. Stop blocking T-Mobile IP addresses.

I don't expect you to understand the technical intricacies here, but the large majority of people who are blocked/banned are using mobile devices to make edits. This makes it difficult for anyone using T-Mobile Home Internet, such as myself, to actually use the website. Mobile IP addresses are random. Due to the nature of how cellular access (?) works, it is technologically impossible to assign a static IP address to anyone using a mobile device like a phone or tablet. Even some mobile workstations (laptops) have WWAN cards that also include cellular data connections. I had to *manually* change my IP address 10+ times to get one that wasn't blocked, which involves waiting 5 minutes for my router to restart. Mobile phones make ban evasion incredibly easy. Stop blocking IPs and just force some pages (like mine) so that only registered users can edit them. I am a fearless, loud, vocal, offensive asshole with fearless, loud, vocal, offensive opinions and that upsets a lot of people, hence the repeated vandalisms on my page. Many imageboard websites running booru forks do this as well, making it impossible to upload or comment. I understand that this is technically frustrating for everyone involved, but websites like this need better (aka modern) ways to identify and quickly deal with abuse. Gone are the days of static IPs being assigned to home internet. Even normal ISPs like Comcast and Verizon are starting to randomize IP addresses for user privacy. For furry social sites, try the Fur Affinity Forums and seek "furry forums/furry social sites" on their search engines. A Twitter search will give you more pointers using the same search parameters, but the largest concentration of social furs would be in Discord and Telegram (wouldn't recommend IRC), then Twitter (until it collapses), Mastodon, and a few of the Furry social apps. In addition, someone made a fake steam account using my name and edited my wiki page to redirect to it. It's been fixed, but you need to set my page to only be editable by registered users. The article is not being bombarded with vandalism, and it's being taken care of by one/two people, so is really under control. Autoconfirmed/Curator's only editing privilege is normally only set for temporary protective measures (with a couple of extraordinary exceptions), so that is not an option at this moment. Article Removal

Requesting personal exclusion for the Naore Kitsurube article (as I have on the forum already which seems to have been ignored, and attempted to blank the article myself). Fesothe: anonymous user is trying to publish a fake narrative story posted to reddit on Hobby Drama in an attempt to defame and claim reddit coins they are using my page to get it indexed they have used a fake named account on reddit to do so and it has been reported to the mods on the sub reddit and I have provided them with further info and contact details. You are being brought into it as a way to ensure the fake edit stays by this or many users, The reddit comment or post references two separate instances, a tweet towards Dril, and a comment that was showed on TV both were added on the page but this is a separate section being added to try to link both into a fake narrative. This person is trying to link them into a narrative so they can profit from reddit coins and defame me on my page. I have reverted the first edit they or those involved made regarding the slur after an admin had done so I believe yourself as it was pro abuse. The reddit post contains unfounded accusations and fake stories to cause offence and outrage.

Subject doesn't understand that a wiki is not a self-promotion page. He can not get info removed from other sites or Twitter or TV, so is doing a revert war to make it his self-promotion page.

Page Removal Request

I am CEO of PhoxWorx Ltd. Co. the Intellectual Property owner of WereScape. I have noticed a couple of inaccuracies posted by other users as well as a false claim to ownership by Vtwolf82. We are now policing the article monitoring it's edit but would prefer for the entire article to be removed from WikiFur.

Actually not dismissing your post, but I am on work sabbatical until pro work is finished, only responding to software alerts for spamming or vandalism incidents (blanking/deletion of articles being one). I have made the request to GreenReaper and will refrain from reverting your edit until I hear back from them. If the result is not to our liking we will continue to police changes and will continue to refrain from removing the entire article, I think at this point our message has been received.

We decided ultimately to rebrand the service, it also no longer has a furry first approach and the website has also been removed. The article WereScape now only exists to take up resources, so you can ignore the above request at this point.

The Minotaurs is a bovine/human hybrid of Greek mythology, from planet Earth. Taurens are evolved bovines from the planet Azeroth, originally descended from the Yaungol, an anthropomorphic yak-like species, from which taunkas also derive, and Blizzard has already stated that taurens are not minotaurs (there was to be a playable Minotaur class on WoW, but it was dropped in place o the evolved anthro bovine species, the tauren). That is quite correct. The best way is to select an article already published and use it as a template. If there edit issues, you can continue to edit until it works, or let another editor/curator work with it. When finished you can merge the Cloaker concept within your article. Sandboxes?

I really like the wiki format for my own media, but don't like using the public sandbox. I normally use my own page and the preview function as a template but have never saved it when doing expository formatting for my blog.

Is using my user page as a sandbox allowed?

Also, I'd like to use the acronym WTotW for signing comments like this. Is it possible to create a user page for it and simply have it redirect to my own? I can't imagine any scenario where someone would reasonably want to use WTotW as their own acronym so think of it as a premature abuse prevention method.
