Question for GreenRepeaper/Sine -- do proposed furmeets belong in the 'Proposed conventions' category? I don't feel they do, but they should probably be categorized in some different collective way. BlueOtter 16:04, 6 July 2011 (EDT)

I made a couple suggestions around that at Category talk:Proposed conventions. Any thoughts? Creating Category:Proposed events and keeping the current category Proposed conventions as a subcategory would be the easiest method. That could put articles such as this one into the new category Category:Proposed events. -- Sine 16:07, 6 July 2011 (EDT)
I agree with Sine. Equivamp 16:09, 6 July 2011 (EDT)
Support Sine's proposal. I'm copying this discussion I started to Category talk:Proposed conventions BlueOtter 16:32, 6 July 2011 (EDT)

Article lifetime[edit]

A general policy question -- if we add articles for proposed events, if the proposed event does not occur past it's original timeframes, at what point after which a referenced source is not updated do we remove it? This article is a case in point: Over one year has elapsed since this event was proposed to taken place and its referenced source webpage has no updates. I would propose that proposed conventions would remain as an article as they typically promote themselves and market at a greater degree than do furmeets. However, I would also propose that furmeets, as opposed to conventions, that are planned but do not have a single iteration are subject to deletion if a year goes by without an updated plan or an actual instance occurs, lest this category become populated with "good intentions" that don't necessarily warrant an ongoing article. Thoughts? --BlueOtter 17:49, 18 July 2012 (EDT)

I'm not sure about an overall practice, but for this particular item, what about merging into the article Equivamp? -- Sine 18:43, 18 July 2012 (EDT)

Merge into article Equivamp[edit]

Any objections? Should an event by this time take place, a separate article can be created or re-created at that time. -- Sine 16:31, 4 December 2012 (EST)

I have merged this item into Equivamp. -- Sine 16:06, 17 December 2012 (EST)
