Religion vs Point of view

Atheism is a personal, private view against the notion of religion, not, as I got an earful from my two atheism coworkers, a spiritual belief one. The category tag (Religion) is then not appropiate for this article (discussion, debate, opinion, etc,...) being more appropriate -Spirou 01:04, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

I see atheism as a view against the notion of god, not religion. The belief that there is no god is still religious by my definition. However, Wikipedia seems to categorize atheism as a "Philosophy of religion". I wouldn't bother changing the category, but I guess the philosophy thingie is the way to go if you really want to. --Atte 01:33, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

It's agreeable, as it would be better to reserve the Religion category to proper religious articles,... Now, to see if there is a category that covers Philosophy (Sysops help?) - Spirou 02:39, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

Yes, its a point of view. Believing that there is a god and believing Christ is the saviour could also be argued as being a point-of-view. I just object to the pretty obvious systematic removal of any atheist references on this site. Even on this article, Sine edited it to remove the part about discussing how being an atheist affects one's experience in the furry fandom despite the fact that I'm the one who wrote this article and founded the AF group so I think I know what the group is about.FuzzWolf 05:43, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
