Princess Mononoke, also known as Mononoke Hime, is a japanese movie released in 1997. It is mainly about the last Emishi prince (named Ashitaka), who was cursed by the boar god Nago, and travels to a place were humans and wild animals are in war. He falls in love with San, a girl that was adopted by wolves, and became the princess mononoke (a japanese term for any spirit/god/demon of the forest).
The main reason of interest for the furry fandom is the fact that this movie includes talking animals, such as wolves and boars.
