Pearls Before Swine is a comic made by Stephan Pastis. The main characters are anthropomorphic rat and pig.

Rat[edit]
Rat is usually over-critical about everything. He can be a bit mean. He often exploits the dim-wittedness of other characters for his own reasons. He shares a house with Pig.
Pig[edit]
Pig is dim, and somewhat childlike. He is kind, however, much to the annoyance of Rat.
Zebra[edit]
Zebra is intelligent. He is trying to make the relationship between the natural predators of zebras (including lions and crocodiles), and his herd back home. The Crocodiles in the strip are often trying to catch and eat Zebra, but their plans often fail.
Zeeba Zeeba Eata[edit]
A fraternity of dim-witted and apparently uneducated crocodiles. They often speak in broken English with their words spelled phonetically, such as Zeeba (Zebra), or Keel (Kill). The female crocodiles speak normally, however. The most common crocodile in the strip is Larry.[[[[
