The Nordic Furdance (NFD) is a furry-themed party in northern Germany and - like the Cologne Furdance - a pure dance. It has been held in Hamburg, Germany at the Catonium since the first NFD in 2010.

Organization[edit]

The event is largely organized by Aranur, Chris and Nightfur (main organizers). RescueWolf maintains the website.

History[1][edit]

NFD 1 was held on 24 April 2010 with 69 participants registered to attend. Ultimately, 63 participants actually attended the dance.

NFD 2 (aka "Edition2") was held on 11 December 2010 at 7 PM and had 85 participants.

NFD 3 was held on 27 April 2013 at 7 PM and had 121 participants.

NFD 4 was held on 1 March 2014 at 7 PM and had 148 participants.

NFD 5 was held on 23 May 2015 at 7 PM and had 126 participants.

NFD 6 was held on 19 March 2016 at 6 PM and had 133 participants.

NFD 7 was held on 25 March 2017 at 7 PM and had 149 participants.

NFD 8 was held on 24 March 2018 at 7 PM and had 200 participants.

NFD 9 was held on 23 March 2019 at 7 PM and had 275 participants.

NFD 10, originally scheduled to take place in 2020, was postponed until 2021 and then until 2022 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
