Leo Award

The Leo Award (full Leo Literary Award), was an annual furry literature award that was founded in 2017.

Goal

The Leo Awards’ goal was to highlight exceptional works of literature in the furry fandom. It was given to works that pass a benchmark score determined by the award's judges, which meant that there was no singular “best” work in each category.

Categories

The categories included novels, novellas, anthologies, short stories, poems, nonfiction, and book covers.

Cancellation

On March 3, 2024 Furry Book Review, the group responsible for hosting the awards, announced the cancellation of The Leo Award citing a lack of volunteers to act as judges and an overall lack of interest in the project as a whole.
