Catwell

Catwell, full Catwell Katz, also known as Lampo (born on January 4, 2000), is a furry fan who was born and lives in Israel.

Fandom involvement

Catwell, originally as Lampo, joined the furry fandom in 2022 and was active mainly in InkBunny, later deciding to join the fandom's Israeli furry community by joining the Israeli Furs, until his expulsion.

Lampo then joined the ILFurs' Discord and Telegram groups, until his quit from them on October 2023, being banned for half a year.

Catwell now hosts a closed group online called חברים פרוותיים (Furry Fellas), with his closest friends and furries he can get along with.

Fursona

Catwell’s fursona is a male housecat with key features of dark brown stripes, yellow-brown eyes and bangs. The original character was designed by bloowolfy.

Hebrew language

Catwell is known within the furry community as an unwavering advocate for the Hebrew language (עִבְרִית), a Northwest Semitic language within the Afroasiatic language family, and origibally a regional dialect of the Canaanite languages, which is the liturgical language of Judaism, which he encourages its use among individuals with limited proficiency, such as immigrants and native Russian or English speakers.

Content Creation

Social Network

Catwell creates content for TikTok, usually in Hebrew language, which intended for a certain circle. He uploads videos that he creates, memes, vlogs, and sometimes even songs and dancing videos. Catwell also uploads content to Instagram and YouTube, but in much lower frequency.

Translation

Catwell is known for translating furry content to the Hebrew language. He is known for creating a Telegram pack which contains fan-translated stickers which were gathered from various artists, mainly from CinnamonSpots. Also, he created a fan wiki in Fandom about furries, and wrote a couple of articles about general furry matters, like Furry, Fursuit, Fursona etc.

Also, Catwell translates furry comics to Hebrew. He started with Housepets, and later started to translate more comics, and eventually aired a site called Furmix, which he publishes his translated comic versions. He translates more comics titles, like TwoKinds, Ozy and Millie, Zonie etc.
