WikiFur:Featured article candidates/Featured log/October 2006
Endless Round MUCK[edit]
As I stated on this article's talk page last week, I think this is a strong article and a great example of detailed information gathering (including documenting events as they unfold, from references and the perceptions of editors), compromise, and collaboration. -- Sine 01:39, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
- Agreed. It seems solid. --GreenReaper(talk) 23:45, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
Howloween[edit]
Admittedly, I'm biased. But it's informative, and has relevant pictures. Even links to a related video. --Rat 22:59, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
- I was going to summarize and split off the history over the years into separate articles like the other long-running cons. Admittedly, this would make the core article shorter. Is this okay or would you like me to hold off? Otherwise, I think the article is fine and the time of year makes it more relevant. --Frizzy 00:58, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
- Support: (1) The article looks strong enough to me and (2) a week before Howloween seems like a good time of year to feature the Howloween article (perhaps switch over around Oct 22 ?) . --EarthFurst 23:34, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
- Agreed. --GreenReaper(talk) 22:13, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
The Lion King[edit]
Not only is this article itself a good introduction to the topic, it has spawned several whole subcategories for its characters, fan fiction and multiplayer worlds. Unsurprisingly, it also happens to be a key item of interest for those within the fandom. --GreenReaper(talk) 08:04, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
The Forest[edit]
One of the top three furry locations in Second Life for over a year. Lengthy details of its achievements, and its relatively sudden fall (it was not featured earlier only because the situation had not stabilized). Lots of illustrative pictures. --GreenReaper(talk) 05:12, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
