Personal Exclusion vs Blanking[edit]

Your request for Exclusion has been submitted to Curator Higgs Raccoon. Please allow editor time to log in to process your request. - Spirou (talk) 16:50, 27 September 2014 (EDT)

The editor who created the article against the subject's wishes should not be that same one to decide whether the article needs to be deleted or not. Salvidrim (talk) 16:53, 27 September 2014 (EDT)
In light that you are not acting on a proper social/wiki editor manner, and continue to ignore/bypass all the information offered to you to have your article excluded as requested, you are temp banned, and exclusion will go ahead as per a Twitter confirmation left several edits down on the change page, Process will begin after verification of said Tweet. - Spirou (talk) 17:19, 27 September 2014 (EDT)
Tweet verified. Wankers,... I sincerely hope your normal behavior and improper language use is not a common trait displayed on your Wikipedia editorial duties. - Spirou (talk) 17:23, 27 September 2014 (EDT)
Wait, what? I have never used the word wankers to refer to anyone on WikiFur (nor do I recall ever using that word at all, in fact). I'm sorry for the confusion surrounding the "personal exclusion" request, and thank GreenReaper for taking the time to have a good talk with me on IRC. Salvidrim (talk) 17:25, 27 September 2014 (EDT)
I see now that Lucian did use that term, which is probably less-than-ideal, but I try to maintain a higher level of professionalism in my interactions, especially on Wikipedia (and in this case, another wiki). Salvidrim (talk) 17:28, 27 September 2014 (EDT)
Wait a minute. So you are a third party having the user article locked, not the user himself?. - Spirou (talk) 17:33, 27 September 2014 (EDT)
As I explained to User:GreenReaper on IRC, I'm obviously Salvidrim, a Wikipedia admin, who offered to assist Lucian through the process of getting this undesired article deleted (or blanked, or "personally excluded", however you call it), because he was unfamiliar with editing in the MediaWiki ecosystem and with general policies. Salvidrim (talk) 17:38, 27 September 2014 (EDT)
I took the subject's tweet as equivalent to a request for personal exclusion. They clearly do not want an article here, on any terms. --GreenReaper(talk) 17:40, 27 September 2014 (EDT)

@Salvidrim, in that case, apologies for confusing Lucian behavior as your own. Article users sports multiple handles, so there was no way to determine multiple user involvement immediately. The tweet, plus the constant reversal of the blanking reverts (be advised for future reference that blankings are automatically reverted, and the user informed of the option for Personal Exclusion instead) led to mix up. - Spirou (talk) 17:56, 27 September 2014 (EDT)

If you really require an e-mail message (or at least an clearer, more explicit tweet with the request), we can just ask Lucian. :) Salvidrim (talk) 17:45, 27 September 2014 (EDT)
No, that's quite alright, his message was quite clear and concise on the intention. Tweets on a personal social media account bearing his name is acceptable proof for exclusion confirmation. =) - Spirou (talk) 17:56, 27 September 2014 (EDT)
Thanks a lot for the understanding, and I am really, really sorry for all the kerfuffle. I have grown do used to just directly solving problems on Wikipedia that I failed to take a step back and ask questions and directions before waltzing in. I apologize for "arguing" with you on the procedure when you obviously know your wiki better than I do! ;) Salvidrim (talk) 18:01, 27 September 2014 (EDT)
No need to apologize, really. Just a case of colliding Wiki changes by multiple editors. It happens. - Spirou (talk) 18:10, 27 September 2014 (EDT)
