Toraneko38, or just Toraneko (トラ猫, born on November 6, 1987[1] - died May 3, 2019[2]), was a Japanese kemono artist.
Art[edit]
In 2003, Toraneko launched her website, "38" where she drew anime and video games art, especially Summon Knight series that includes kemono characters.[3]
Since 2007, Toraneko published doujin manga of pokemon, solatorobo and Summon Knight series, among others. And since 2010 Toraneko published original kemono doujin manga "Kemokoi (ケモ恋)", short stories of heterosexual love romances between anthropomorphic kemono and human for all ages (each sexes, vice versa).[4]
Life complications[edit]
After the birth of the first son in Febrary 2016,[5] Toraneko was hospitalized in July 2016 due to Acute myeloid leukemia.[6][7] In January 2017, Toraneko was temporally discharged from the hospital,[8] and in 2018 continued to publish transfur doujin manga for the adult Hensin bank series.[9] On February 2019, she was hospitalized again.[10]
Death[edit]
On 3 May 2019, Toraneko died from heart failure due to the side effects of on anticancer drug,[11] age 31.
