The Private Life of The Rabbit
From WikiFur, the furry encyclopedia.
The Private Life of The Rabbit is a non-fiction book by R. M. Lockley. It was a significant information source for Richard Adams' novel Watership Down, who wrote: "When I had finished telling the story of Watership Down to my children ... and had, at their insistence, agreed to shape and write it as a novel, I realized that before that ... I would need to know a great deal more about the ways and lives of real rabbits."[1]
