The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, the first book in C. S. Lewis's The Chronicles of Narnia series, has been made into multiple movie and television versions. In addition, several of the books have been adapted as BBC Radio serials.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (1967 TV series)[edit]

The story was produced in the UK in 10 half-hour black-and-white episodes that aired in the US under the banner of ABC Weekend Television.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (1979)[edit]

This animated made-for-TV version was produced by Bill Melendez (best known for his work on numerous Charlie Brown specials).

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (1988)[edit]

Live-action version produced by BBC. It was followed by Prince Caspian and the Voyage of the Dawn Treader (IMDB) in 1989 , and The Silver Chair (IMDB) in 1990.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005)[edit]

Live-action version produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media for general release on Dec. 9, 2005.
