Can anyone think of a category for the articles that use this template, in line with Category:Cleanup and Category:Articles that need to be wikified? I haven't been able to come up with one. -- Sine 18:45, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

I've added Category:Candidates for deletion, as a close enough fit. -- Sine 23:19, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
It seems as though it would be worthwhile for the {{appropriate}} category not to automatically include the {{prod}}, so that articles can be marked for appropriateness and remain so without being subject to prompt removal of the {{prod}}-- which of course, once removed, could not then properly be put back. --Furthling 00:50, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
Could you rephrase, please? I don't understand what you are suggesting or what an unrelated and unused template has to do with things. -- Sine 19:19, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
As you noted abobe, this template, {{appropriate}}-- the template used to denote that a page may not be appropriate to WikiFur-- includes the the [[Category:Candidate for deletion]]-- a category for pages proposed for deletion, which is normally included with {{prod}}-- a template intended to be used to denote that a page is proposed for deletion. My apologies if the reference to the template rather than directly to the category was confusing-- I didn't know you weren't actually using the template.
At any rate, as I said, including the category in the template seems counterproductive to me. Either you see discussions of appropriateness as directly being discussions of deletion, or you don't. If so, just mark articles with inappropriate content for deletion and comment on the talk page that it's the appropriteness of the subject matter that raises the question of its deletion. If not, they should be distinct, and the one not include the other automatically. --Furthling 05:40, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
You are, of course, free to suggest a different category. -- Sine 06:30, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
