Talk:Nonfur

This page is stupid. A "nonfur" to my mind suggests someone who just plain ISN'T A FUR. How anyone can label people who are "only involved with the fandom for the enjoyment, selling, and purchase of artwork" as not proper furs is beyond my ability to imagine. Artwork is the fandom's #1 activity after all.

I would have edited this article but apart from cutting it down to "A nonfur is a person who is not a furry" I don't see what can be done with it, so I suggest this nonsense be deleted. Salmanazar 13:08, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

I would disagree, though I will agree that the content can be improved. Perhaps better wording to reflect that the name nonfur is assumed by some who participate in furry fandom but do not wish to be weighted down with the perceived (true or not) baggage of the label of "furry fan". Whether you agree with that stance or not, it does exist - I recall at Midwest FurFest a few years ago the panel, "I'm Not Furry, But..." attracted a couple dozen people who preferred to fall in this category. --Duncan da Husky 13:16, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
Your comment acted as inspiration and so I've had a shot at editing it. Thanks, Duncan! Salmanazar 19:14, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
I like furotica, but I'm not a furry. although, I might become one at some point... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.231.221.145 (talkcontribs) .
this is really polarized, I think it should be rewritten, NOW. I'm really annoyed by it. cchristian
