Image of The Ayukawataur[edit]

It seems to me this section doesn't belong, but the info they provide is far too unwieldy to put in the one image caption. Ideas?--Kendricks Redtail 18:38, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

hmm, that section was there before the above section was added, and i am trying to come up with a method of making it more digestable for everyone. i do agree it is not very weildy, however, the information regarding copyright and trademark must accompany the image. i have been considering reducing the thumbnail size for the image in this section to make it a bit easier.--Ayukawataur : FurBid-SF Administaur 20:40, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
Normally that level of accompanying trademark and licensing information is included with the actual image file location itself, not in the article itself.--Kendricks Redtail 22:46, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
i have taken the liberty of changing the format after i read the original post above so as to not have redundant image information clutter. besides, it is on the image.--Ayukawataur : FurBid-SF Administaur 23:21, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Some spelling and capitalization issues:[edit]

just wanted to make note here that a few items that keep cropping up off and on.

  • The Ayukawataur - is a proper name with honourific, and as such is capitalized.
  • Administaur of FurBid-SF - is a title, and as such is capitalized. it is also sometimes written FurBid-SF Administaur.
  • Administaur - without mention of FurBid-SF is also a proper title, not to be confused with administrator. it should also be capitalized.

there is a major difference between Furbid and FurBid-SF. they were two separate machines running on two very different sets of software.

  • FurBid-SF - the F B and SF are all capitalized.
  • Furbid - without the -SF only has the F capitalized.

Trivia[edit]

Ayu, honey, baby, you rock, you're a star. :) Little note on the trivia. Is cool to have trivia and random notes, but we're trying to get away from the bullet-style trivia and just insert into the article itself in a pretty prose form. Yer awesome. --Who loves ya? Vinnie Redtail does! (Note:I'm being silly throughout this comment, if the tone offends you, I sincerely apologize.)

believe it or not, i am probably the most complicated person in the world to offend, second to the proverbial ghandi and dalai-lama. i kind of figured you all would have a better format for that section anyway. i know i can supply the information, but in the end, english and this taur are quite distant on the food chain.
of course, as i compose more, there may be places such can be included in the article. it might be good to document the exact nature of each of those trivia, but i was growing a bit weary of typing at that moment and went the lazy way. so, one could actually state i was using it as a future 'remember me' notes.
and, question. how does one provide tone in text? i never comprehended such.
--Ayukawataur : FurBid-SF Administaur 04:43, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
I think tone can be portrayed by wording and behaviour. And don't be so modest! ^_^ --Kendricks Redtail 06:53, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

then again, dad still has the ability to step on thy toes

Some Confusion[edit]

You mentioned that C/FO-I.E. was started by me, Fred Patten and David Bliss. Actually, it was started by Steve Bremmer, Wayne Wright and myself. Granted, Fred and David came along there (very) shortly since they were acquainted with C/FO's LA and Orange County, etc., so it's was only natural. Personally, I think it was David that kept INLAND EMPIRE ANIME going as long as it did. With that said, I'm not here to refute your claims. It's been so long ago that things get jumbled up in the process. I just want to clear this up. So how ya been? --DLNorton 08:11, 10 April 2008 (UTC) ;-)

not much confusion at all. because if you really want to be technical, his name was steven bremer, who was quite the jerk, as he betrayed wayne which brought about the falling apart of the inner circle. stevens brother james was also part of the forming, but not as active. the same can be said for the anarchy-mobile, the ld copy of freya, long distance phone calls, coffee pots under the bank, mirandora, and jennifer miles, who was kind of a problem for all of us.
long story short. ayukawa@otonashi.net i can fill you in on everything. and do not worry, i have no intention of holding our last conversation against you.
just make certain to contact me soon. i will be out of country from the 20th of april until the 20th of may.
--Ayukawataur : FurBid-SF Administaur 02:52, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Have to agree - that should be Steven Bremer - only one 'M'

HE or SHE?[edit]

There seems to be some confusion with posts & entries on the site...

Some posts/entries refer to this person as SHE while others list HE

Ayukawataur considers and portrays herself to be female. If you want a more detailed response, you will have to ask her yourself, and whether or not she chooses to answer you is up to her. Spaz Kitty 23:22, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
good morning spaz kitty this anthrosamurai seems to be the latest in a long line of individuals who has targeted me for some reason.
let us try a different approach. this is of course in answer to anthrosamurai, and not aimed at the honourable spaz kitty.
she has been asked this question before on numerous places. some of these places have been on wikifur. she has responded to a large number of these, and left a number of them alone out of boredom or lack of knowledge of their existence. this is not something she enjoys revisiting as many times as she is forced to, simply because people out there seem to think that they may possibly know better than she, her wife, her mother, her doctors, or any other person who has had the chance to see her nude.
she is a she, a her, of the female persuasion, a girl, the fairer sex, etc. . . . - see also lesbian.
now please. if you were actually interested in the answer of something that is obviously such an issue that it has drawn drama for years, instead of just more drama, you would have found this information a while ago with very little effort on your part, or you would have contacted me directly instead of posting yet once again on a public site where it can be debated and discussed amongst others so as they can make up their own minds without me.
and no - i have no intention of making the area between my legs visible to anyone who does not have a good reason to be there. i also have no intention of scanning any legal document, drivers license, passport, etc, just to prove anything. the only people i have anything to prove to already know and have seen such things with their own eyes.
note : i will be away again for a week or so and have no online use available. please forgive this inability to respond to any further in advance.
--Ayukawataur : FurBid-SF Administaur 00:30, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Oh great, ANOTHER "they're picking on me" type of person. (sigh) Look Ayukawataur, not everybody who asks such questions is out to get you or trying to cause trouble. To the average person (who doesn't know anything about you) my first post WOULD be a valid question - not an attack question. When one reads conflicting information in several areas, they would want to know the truth. Labeling them as attacking you just because they want to figure out which is which only brings about further hostility, and leads to you making enemies needlessly.

And nobody was asking for scans of legal documents as proof - only which term was the correct one.

In the future, try not to lunge for a person's throat when they ask a valid question in order to understand. And kindly watch the attitude - I tend to become "irritated" when a person gives me such an attitude.

HELP! The marshmellow peeps are MASSING! 01:19, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

I think she has a right to be upset. You could have just looked at the article which she obviously had a hand in writing and seen that she always refers to herself as 'she' or 'her' in it, never 'he' or 'him'. When reading conflicting information about a person, it's typically best to trust the sources written by the person in question, no? Spaz Kitty 03:10, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

I could have SWORN that was one of the places I saw her refered to as a HE....

AUGH! This is going to drive me up the wall until I find where I saw that!

Talk:Kacey Miyagami#Legal Issues

My Apologies for irritating you Ayukawataur - I realize now that they were apparently refering to you in a derogitory instead of factual manner.

HELP! The marshmellow peeps are MASSING! 10:02, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

irritating? please forgive me, but you do not possess that much power over me. the only way i may become irritated is if i chose to be such.
really, such is so simple anyone can learn it if they wish. if you would like, i can point you in the proper direction. it is quite helpful in more aspects of life than just internet drama as well.

Name translation[edit]

Quote, moved from article: - Which roughly translated means "The palace elegant taste records the child" -

Could we have some independent verification of this by a native speaker or well-trained foreigner? Hopefully several? The accuracy of this item is in question. -- Siege(talk) 16:51, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

  • Okay, that translation - it sounds like AnthroSamurai stuffed the name through a Chinese-to-English machine translating program (despite it being Japanese), as it's a character-by-character literal translation. Translating a Japanese name into English would probably be translating some name like “David Marker” - probably won't make much sense. (Disclaimer: I don't understand Japanese.) --猫夜叉ネコヤシャ 17:22, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
or you could ask me, or read the referenced link.
quoted from the link:
in our last session we explored that miyagami noriko was comprised of the following kanji:
宮雅味 記子
which breaks down to: miyagami 宮雅味 and noriko 記子
to explore their meanings we must first understand how they are constructed:
miyagami not broken into three syllables, as one may expect looking at three kanji. it maintains its four syllable structure, miya (mee-yah)and gami (gah-mee). it also becomes important to understand that the three kanji are not all read as their separate meanings.
which, comes out to:
宮 (temple) 雅 (truly) 味 (how something tastes)
when it is read as:
宮 (temple) 雅味 (high class - also graceful) the second set being very hard to translate efficiently.
noriko is a bit easier, yet a bit more complicated.
pronounced: nori (no-ree) ko (koh), it is a combination of two kanji. 記 which has many meanings. and 子 which has more.
in this context, 子 represents child, as is often used in female names.
記 does not represent the flag of being inducted into the buddhist culture sometime in the future, as in joining a monastary. it also does not represent the name fumi in any way. though, my name, without the 子 is how one writes the female name fumi. 記子 is also shared with kiko, fumiko and fusako.
big fun yet?
but the interpretation used when writing 記 in my name is close to what was predicted by [info]secateur. though scribe is a good literal, it is a bit off in the spirit. the kanji also is used to signify that which has been scribed. a story, or chronicle for example. again a rough translation. which means 記子 translates (in my case) to chronicle-child. now, if it means the one who records or the one who it is about, i can not answer. i always assumed it was the one who records.
which would interpret: 宮雅味 記子 as: temple-graceful chronicle-child. or, two possible rough translations:
1). the child who records the tale of the graceful temple.
2). the child whom is the chronicle of the graceful temple.
i fear the first and wish for the second.
Thank you for repeating this explanation here. Unless someone can provide very strong evidence to the contrary, I'm going to leave that chunk of linguistic hash where it is. -- Siege(talk) 19:03, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
not a problem. though i do not think any one will be able to, since names are some thing quite personal and often something parents must explain. it is not like names in the west where you look up that a name comes from ancient hebrew and means king or something. often in nihongo, there are literally dozens, or more, meaning for the same characters. or worse, dozens of different kanji used for the same name.

--Ayukawataur : FurBid-SF Administaur 19:30, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Yes, I used a translator - If you ran it through both Japanese and Chinese as I did, you would find that the Japanese translation was stranger than the Chinese, which is why I used the Chinese translation.

Whoever it was who provided the ACCURATE translation - thanks. It makes a whole lot more sense than what I came up with. :))

Although I WOULD still like to see it on the main article.

All hail VLADUZ - the EBAY IMPALER! 11:37, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

you are welcome.
i never put it on the main article because it does not matter and would only confuse people more. though, i would not be opposed to writing it in a better format and placing it on my user page. would help inspire me to write the user page up finally.

world of warcraft[edit]

since someone decided they know more about what i play than i do, i figured i should update with proper information.

  • i only play now on scarlet crusade server - yes i have a character on an other server, however she has not been played for many months and will not be as that has been retired. that character was a draenei mage named astarot.
  • currently i play a draenei priest named hannyu. a secondary character i have is named antarctica, and she is a draenei hunter.
