Open Season 3 is a 2010 CGI movie from Sony Pictures Animation, written by David I. Stern. It is a sequel to Open Season and Open Season 2.

The movie features anthropomorphic characters saving their friend Boog (the protagonist) from a Russian circus. It was later released on DVD.

Critical reaction and box office[edit]

Unlike the previous films, Open Season 3 received mostly negative reviews from moviegoers.

Main characters and cast[edit]

  • Boog (grizzly bear), the main protagonist of the film. He is Elliot's best friend. – Matthew J. Munn
  • Rosie (striped skunk), one of the minor protagonists of the film. She is Maria's sister. – Nika Futterman
  • Elliot (mule deer), the deuteragonist of the film. He is Boog's best friend, as well as Giselle's husband and Gisela, Giselita, and Elvis' father. – Matt Taylor
  • Ursa (grizzly bear), the tritagonist of the film. She is Boog's love interest and later, girlfriend. – Melissa Sturm
  • Giselle (mule deer), the secondary tritagonist of the film. She is Elliot's wife and Gisela, Giselita, and Elvis' mother. – Melissa Sturm
  • Doug (grizzly bear), the main antagonist of the film. He is Alistair's best friend, as well as a circus performer who takes advantage of his doppelganger Boog's friend while disguised as him at the forest. In the end, he finally comes back to the circus and apologizes to Boog for tricking him, thus redeeming himself. – Matthew J. Munn
  • Alistair (Argentinian camelid), one of the secondary protagonists of the film and, arguably, the secondary antagonist. He is Doug's best friend who spits a lot and is eager to meet his love Carmen. – Dana Snyder
  • Gisela (mule deer), one of the secondary protagonists of the film. She is Elliot and Giselle's daughter. – Karley Scott Collins
  • Giselita (mule deer), one of the secondary protagonists of the film. She is Elliot and Giselle's other daughter. – Ciara Bravo
