To nuzzle is the act of rubbing another fur's cheeks or muzzle, using one's nose (snout or beak for fursuiters).

With animals, this form of behavior is most widely seen in cats, nuzzling being a cat's main demonstration of affection or want for attention to a human being. Dogs are also known to "nuzzle" but in a more subdued manner and to a lesser degree.

As with other forms of interpersonal furry affection, it's considered bad form to try this on strangers, or those furs or fans of fur not comfortable with the idea or the act. As with most furry expressions, even though it is attributed most widely to one species, any and all furry species are capable of displaying affection in this manner.
