Gamepopper (Tim Stoddard;[1] born 1 April 1993[2][3]) is an indie computer game developer and furry fan from Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, UK. He has a degree in Computer Games Programming from Staffordshire University.[1]

Gamepopper has attended various conventions, including instances of ConFuzzled (from 2011), Eurofurence (first in 2016[3]), Just Fur The Weekend, Wild North and VancouFur; as well as a variety of UK meets, including BrumFurs, where he is the social media rep.[4]

His fursona and fursuit,[5] D, is a masked lynx vigilante who likes to swordfight.[3] His second fursona, Ricoh, is a happy, friendly red fox.

Furtannia[edit]

After gaining an interest in furry history after reading the book Furry Nation by Joe Strike, Gamepopper began researching British furry history, culminating in a panel held at ConFuzzled 2019. The popularity and positive feedback inspired Gamepopper to expand his research into a book, one that would cover not only how the furry fandom made its way to the United Kingdom, expanded to hosting plenty of furmeets and conventions and fostering its own well-connected community.[6]

Originally under the working title of Furry Kingdom[7], the first draft of the manuscript was finished in mid-2021, and picked up by Uncle Bear Publishing at the beginning of 2022 under a new title of Furtannia: The History of the Furry Fandom of the United Kingdom.

After several delays, Furtannia was released on 22 June 2023.
