Galonodel

Galonodel (June 9, 1989[1] - January 22, 2017),[2] real name Cody Ross Cooling,[2] was a furry writer[3] who lived in Washington, DC. USA.[2] His fursona was a fennec fox[3] and he was mated to Geo Vaughan.[3]

Galondel's interests included conspiracies, science fiction (preferably hard sci-fi), all manner of things pertaining to physics, classic movies, and discussions involving politics and philosophy.[3]

Real life[edit]

In real life, Galonodel was a graduate of Huntsville High School class of 2007, and subsequently served in the United States Marine Corps from 2007 to 2016.[1] After his service, he worked as an Intelligence Analyst supporting the Defense Intelligence Agency's (DIA) Afghanistan Pakistan Task Force (APTF).[1]

Death[edit]

Around 1:30am on Sunday January 22, 2017, a vehicle being driven by Zidonuke, carrying Galonodel and Kalili Youngblood as passengers, crashed into a tree whilst being driven at high speed. A police deputy pulled Zidonuke out of the wreckage, but the car caught fire and was engulfed by flames before Galonodel and Kalili Youngblood could be removed.[4]

Galonodel's memorial service was held at 2 pm on Saturday, February 4, 2017, in the chapel of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, in Huntsville, Texas.[1]
