Furries purr over Pittsburgh reception is the title of an article that appeared in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review on Friday, June 6, 2007.[1]

Written by Chris Togneri, the article describes the convergence of furries on Pittsburgh for Anthrocon 2007. Anthrocon chairman Samuel Conway is interviewed, and dispels some of the myths about furry fandom, such as "Furries are all kinky sexual deviants" and "All Furries wear costumes".

Other furries spoken to are Doug Fair (a Maryland furry with a spiritual connection to foxes), and Chris Brousseau (who fursuits as Takala the dancing zebra).

7chan's minimal protest of the convention is mentioned.

The article includes two photographs of fursuiters mingling with the other convention-goers.
