Elmer the Safety Elephant is a anthropomorphic elephant mascot. The copyright, trademark, and rights are held by the Canada Safety Council.

The Elmer Traffic Safety Program began in Toronto in 1947, and by the 1960s Elmer had become a symbol across Canada. His name is the same in both official languages (English and French).
