Critter Costuming

Critter Costuming: Making Mascots and Fabricating Fursuits is a book about creating mascot costumes and fursuits geared towards first-time builders, as well as those who simply wish to know how they are made. It was created by Adam "Nicodemus" Riggs, and published by Ibexa Press in September 2004.

The spiral-bound book consists of 208 greyscale pages in full-colour covers. Topics covered include advice on designing and planning a suit, the tools and materials that will be required, head construction (with note to assigning certain attributes, such as cuteness), body construction, various masks, makeup and accessories, and how to perform in fursuit. Purchasing suggestions are geared towards a USA audience, though the general advice about types of materials is useful worldwide. Detailed walkthroughs are given for various procedures, such as the construction of a foam head.[1]
