Baree, Son of Kazan is a novel by James Oliver Curwood. The sequel to his earlier book Kazan, it is the third book in his series of nature books, following The Grizzly King.
Baree is a newborn pup as the novel opens. As described in the first chapter, "Gray Wolf, his mother, was a full-blooded wolf, and [...] Kazan, his father, was a dog" who was himself a quarter wolf.
