Ali has co-authored several books, including graphic novels in the Avatar: The Last Airbender series.[2]

A Stray in the Woods[edit]

Ali was the creator of the interactive webcomic A Stray in the Woods which tells the story of a non-anthropomorphic brown cat. After each update, Ali would take suggestions from readers as to what the cat should do next - investigate an object, move into another room, eat something off the floor, etc. The suggestions could be mundane or ridiculous, so long as they were possible for the cat to do.[3]

A Stray in the Woods ran between September 3, 2012, and May 21, 2013, and on June 4 (2013), Ali started a Kickstarter campaign to have the comic published as a 250-page physical volume.[4] As of June 18, the campaign has fulfilled its goal of $1,500, with 240 backers pledging $7,337.
