Across the Border
From WikiFur, the furry encyclopedia.
Across the Border is a short (4:07) animated film from 1984, produced by Roz Gibson (with help from fellow alumni Tracy Kazaleh and others) during her attendance at CalArts. Though rather obscure, pirate copies have been known to occasionally surface on the internet, and it has occasionally been shown at furry conventions.
The plot involves an anthropomorphic cat carrying a mysterious suitcase who attempts to cross the border via the nine-o-five train. Standing in the way of his odyssey are three somewhat-official-looking thugs (two of them furry, one elf) who will stop at nothing to kill him and retrieve the suitcase.
Throughout the film, a song of the same name by progressive rock group ELO plays in the background.
