MobianLegends is a Canadian Sonic fansite, founded by Ringtailed Fox on October 13, 2008, and based in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, though is open to everyone, regardless of loation. It was formerly partially-hosted by Digibase Operations (with the remainder at Provo, Utah-based Hostmonster.com), but is now in the process of moving to a full dedicated server at Lansing, Michigan-based CoreNetworks. The website originally started off as a home to host the fanfic series "Mobian Legends", written by Rozene Kitsune and Ringtailed Fox, but has since grown to include many other areas of the Sonic Fandom as well. The website runs its own custom-written graphical CMS, the "Echidna Rendering System". The website is not strictly Sonic-only, as it also offers a large amount of StarFox-related information, as well as having plans in the future to offer the basics on SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron, Biker Mice from Mars, and The Raccoons. The website as a whole has several "essays" and introductions into furry-themed animated programs, like Swat Kats, and Sonic the Hedgehog, as well as Star Fox.

Sonic the Hedgehog
MobianLegends is a "Classic Sonic" fansite, focusing on the first five Sonic the Hedgehog Games for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive and Sega CD/Mega CD (Sonic the Hedgehog), Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic CD, Sonic Spinball, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and Sonic & Knuckles, as well as information on the old "SatAM" Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon show. Completing the website are areas like the Wiki (WikiMobius), "goodies download", comics reviews, and Sonic the Hedgehog themes for Microsoft Windows, Winamp, and Linux.

Perhaps the biggest portions of the website is its media area: encompassing over 18 GB of audio files, of nearly EVERY single Sonic the Hedgehog music CD that has been released. One particular part of the media area is well-known: VOM-FM. The format broadcasts chiptunes and the webmaster's favourite classic rock and new wave music. Other stations in the process of being added include VOR-FM (industrial metal), and VOS-AM (Voice of Sonic AM), a low-bitrate (~ 16 kbps) all-Sonic-music format station.
One further extension of the media area that is being proposed is an internet TV station, VOM-TV, which would air classic Sonic cartoon episodes and other material, similar to Random Sonic Net's "RSN-TV" feed.
MobianLegends Plus
MobianLegends Plus is the name given to the "extra" area of the website, which hosts emulators for game consoles such as Gens (for the Sega Genesis), and Snes9x (for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System). It is found at http://plus.mobianlegends.com.
Adult Content
Adult Content on MobianLegends is seperated from the remainder of the website, offering Fanfics, Forums, Gallery, and an Imageboard, all at

Towards the end of 2009, MobianLegends had decided to launch Lylat Central, a StarFox Fansite, at starfox.mobianlegends.com (soon to move to lylatcentral.com).

MobianLegends has also revived the Geocities StarFox fan group "Queer as Lylat", located at http://qal.mobianlegends.com. Queer as Lylat is an erotic StarFox-themed fansite, containing artwork, a large amount of fanfiction, and character profiles. Before Geocities had shut down in late 2009, Queer as Lylat was a community hosted there. Upon shut down, a mirror of 90% of the site was copied by RingtailedFox, and with the former webmistress' permission and appreciation, allowed to be continued on MobianLegends.
Plans have been finalized to host Star Fox fan game (and Max Payne 2 mod) "StarFox: Paths of Fate", at http://pof.lylatcentral.com.
