Rimpala's avatar

Rimpala is a furry artist and lifestyler, he is a regular user of deviantART and well-known member of Furtopia. Rimpala is relatively new to the fandom, but it's quickly becoming an inseparable part of his life, mainly because he's always had a strong connection to animals and anthro art, but also because he's had a mostly warm reception from the furries he's met. His art is focussed upon use of color, humor, and an emphasis on expression.

Rimpala (also known as Rimp, Rimmy, Rimmi, Rim, and Rimpala Kheperu) is a little known demigod from Ancient Egypt, worshiped mainly in the Lower Kingdom, and in his native Nubia. He is half-man, half-impala, or sometimes depicted as being fully impala. Unlike other Egyptian gods, Rimpala can be seen wearing clothing from other cultures as well as Egyptian wear, probably due to being a foreign god to begin with. As he is associated with nature, he can sometimes even be depicted naked.

According to the myth, Rimpala left the Egyptian pantheon of gods to live on earth, and has lived there since ancient times, having seen many events and cultures through the ages and uses this knowledge in his art. Evidence of his existance in modern times has made him increasingly popular among neo-pagans and furry spiritualists, as he seems to reinforce their beliefs.

Despite being a demigod, Rimpala has been known for saying "I'm not a megalomaniac! He is actually very humble and friendly with everybody.

Artwork

Because of his connection to deer and antelopes, Rimpala has drawn and painted a number of ungulate furries and makes sure they get the attention they deserve. Every month, he even releases an Ungulate Furry Calendar. Each time a male and female version, subjects usually dress to celebrate a holiday within the month and are in sexy pin-up poses. The Calendar itself is a parody of adult entertainment and soft porn. The Calendar also involves Rimpala's love for costumes, another common feature of his artwork. Rimpala also draws yiff but Fur Affinity is the only place you'll see his erotic art showcased. Of particular note of his mature art is his golden shower subjects. These drawings are becoming well-received by furry urophiliacs becuase he often includes humor - which allows the drawings to be enjoyed by everyone - and always tries to treat the fetish with pride and dignity. Other yiff may include romantic pictures of him and his boyfriend Mike. Again, he treats homosexuality with a sort of openness and confidence he can enjoy under the accepting furry fandom.

Another bulk of his artwork includes Kemetic subjects. Rimpala is a devout Kemetic Wiccan and often worships his Egyptian gods through his artwork. This line of artwork earned him many friends amoung the pagan furs and even from Christian furs. Whatever the religion may be, Rimpala encourages everyone to be faithful to it. Rimpala is very Socratic and knows no one person knows the universe, especially himself.

The real Rimpala

Rimpala is played by Richard Thomas. He lives in Orlando, Florida and is currently going to college and working at Islands of Adventure. He is rather emotional at times and covers the artistic-weird image very well, but is generally very friendly, lovable, open-minded, and charming, or so he's told.
