Zoey Lavender

Zoey Lavender, full name Zoey Kriegsherrin Lavender, also known as Zoshie, Zozo, Zo, sometimes as Red (shi/hir; born in Chelyabinsk, Russia), is an intersex furry artist and writer who lives in New England, USA.

Biography

Zoey immigrated from Russia to the United States in 2013, whereas shi attained full US citizenship in 2019.

Zoey is intersex and was born with both male and female genitals, however, shi was forced to have only male genitalia shortly after birth, but retained hir ovaries.

Zoey romantically identifies as pan-sapphic. Shi will flirt with both cis and trans people. Sexually shi identifies as lesbian, and will only sexually engage with ciswomen or transwomen. Shi has a wide variety of kinks and fetishes and is willing to try anything at least once. Shi prefers chubby women and enjoys cunnilingus and facesitting. Shi has a girlfriend who is MtF transgender.

Zoey is quite an easy-going and mature person, shedding a lot of hir inhibitions, immaturity, and social anxieties when shi dropped hir masculine identity. While shi can still be aggressive or get angry, shi calms down very quickly and often apologizes. Zoey can be very open and honest when shi begins to trust someone, however, can be very slow to do so due to hir past traumas. Shi tends to be a bit scatterbrained and forgets things quite often as shi doesn't take medication for hir ADHD, in contrast to hir PTSD symptoms and sleep issues.

Handle

Zoey's name is taken directly from hir fursona Zoey, which shi created while still presenting as masculine. The fursona was created as a test character for BeardOfSocrates' Fallout 4 mod Vulpine Race during the development and beta phase of the mod.

Zoey's fox used to be purple and was named Lavender. It was changed to Zoey Lavender as the Fallout 4 companion Codsworth, a robotic butler, can say many names while referring to the player, but not Lavender.

Zoey's middle name has always started with a K, but for a while, it didn't have a full name associated with it. Shi chose Kriegsherrin as it's the feminine conjugation of the German word for "warlord" (kriegsherren), but the feminine conjugation doesn't technically exist within the German language. "Herrin" alone directly translates to "mistress" on its own, and while translated, "kriegsherrin" would mean "mistress of war", but due to the masculine conjugation already existing, it's assumed that the masculine meaning of the word is intended.

Zoey chose a German word due to hir fursona's German origins, and shi chose "warlord" because shi has, in hir own words:

(B)een at war with, and conquered, hirself.

Disabilities and substance abuse

Zoey has quite a long list of mental disabilities: social anxiety disorder, ADHD, PTSD, guilt complex, abandonment complex, imposter syndrome, seasonal affective disorder, misanthropy, misophonia, high functioning autism, gender dysphoria, and a generic sleep disorder.

While some of these aren't classified in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders or International Classification of Diseases publications, they are very real and affect hir daily functioning.

Zoey has also struggled a lot with alcohol addiction. Shi mainly used it to cope with hir depression, ADHD, and various aspects of autism such as sensory overload. As of February of 2023 shi started drinking significantly less which helped hir realize that shi had a lot more problems that needed to be dealt with. Many of these were also exposed after shi started hormone replacement therapy (HRT) in July of 2023.

Fandom involvement

Zoey's involvement in the furry fandom has been spotty. Lots of hir art can be found on e621.net, of both hir namesake character and hir old masculine fursona.

Fursona

Zoey's fursona was the product of hir repressed femininity throughout hir life. The fursona contains many aspects of Zoey that shi hid away, only coming out through roleplay or hir writing.

Zoey's namesake fursona, Zoey Lavender (often referred to as Zoey Fox or Zoey Lavender Fox), is a female anthro red fox mercenary, with cybernetic arms and a pair of female genitals. She has black hair, often styled in a ponytail, a white belly, and amber-colored eyes. She stands 8'4" tall (2.54 meters) and weighs 550 pounds (250 kilograms).

Due to her powerful nature, she is incredibly reckless and has a very apathetic and selfish attitude. She constantly shows a lack of remorse for her actions and uses her intimidating presence to get whatever she wants, often resorting to stealing, hurting people, rape, or outright murder. While Nazis created Zoey in a lab, she tries her hardest to stay away from the label and the ideologies associated with it.

She does, however, have a soft side. People she becomes close with often share her moral compass (or rather, a lack of one). She vigorously defends those she cares about and will stop at nothing to protect them, although she surrounds herself with others who are just as strong. She's incredibly outgoing and speaks her mind, often to the fault of angering others.

Her speech mannerisms are casually vulgar, and she swears in normal conversation. Despite being a professional mercenary, her tone is always condescending, and she often looks down on others (metaphorically as well as physically). She will constantly berate others for their weaknesses despite having plenty of her own, and when confronted with her hypocrisy she will become defensive and attempt justifications such as "I'm fine with it," or "It doesn't affect me".

Zoey is prone to psychological and physical addiction and is usually under the influence of one substance or another, be it her anti-anxiety medication, alcohol, legal stimulants such as caffeine, or street drugs. She loves stimulants and has been seen drinking an entire 24-count case of energy drinks on more than one occasion, and goes on stimulant-fueled rampages during mercenary contracts that don't require stealth or discretion.

Zoey is quite fond of spicy chicken, most often when presented in a sandwich. She has killed people for attempting to take her sandwiches from her and often credits her gratuitous weight figure to excessive consumption of spicy chicken sandwiches. Her favorite place to get them is usually fast food chains, although if they are unobtainable through normal means, she knows how to cook them herself.

Species

Her fursona was originally part of a government project to create the ultimate infiltration unit. In 1954, German scientists were experimenting with genetic engineering after Adolph Hitler's defeat. All test subjects were grown, not born. Only two of her kind remain. The species has an unknown lifespan, and Zoey herself is more than a hundred years old.

Originally, her purpose was to be used for breeding, so the Nazi remnants wouldn't need to continue the expensive and slow process of genetic engineering. During her time in the Nazi testing facility, she was created, taught basic skills such as reading, speaking, and other human mannerisms. When she turned 21, she was locked in a breeding room for the sole purpose of giving birth to more of her kind.

She refused to mate with any males. She was abused, beaten, raped, and tortured, including waterboarding and forced drug ingestion. WWIII started in 2035, and when the Allies bombed Germany during World War Three, a small team raided Nazi government facilities and offices for any potentially beneficial items and key people.

Zoey was rescued and brought to the United States, where she went under additional testing and augmentation. Here, she was given an extensive amount of drugs, hormones, and steroids, some of which allowed her to grow to her present height and weight. Some of the testing left physical scars and left her voice significantly higher pitch than normal. When the US was nuked by Russia, she escaped and started fighting on her own.

She was inadvertently re-captured by invading Russians and brought to their base in Manhattan, but they failed to contain her, and she escaped their base, killing all 400 soldiers stationed there, even overpowering soldiers using powered exoskeletons. The base contained prototype armor, which she stole and refit multiple times during her misadventures.

Sometime during her adventure she dated an officer who was stationed at a US technology base, but he ended up being a Russian spy, cutting both of her arms off to prevent her from escaping. She then killed him anyway and used his clearance to steal and implant a pair of cybernetic arms at the tech base, and then set the base on fire, looting the prototype technology for herself.

Literature and art

Zoey also enjoys writing and drawing and has two blogs where shi posts wiki-style entries for hir fictional universe, and pornographic images of hir fursona. Zoey's most significant contribution to the Internet is also the least known.

Shi is the author of what is called the Sigma AU - a fictional alternate reality that takes the form of short stories and Wiki-style lore entries for hir creations and inventions. The Sigma AU is open to anyone who wants to contribute, they need only to apply.

The Sigma AU largely takes place after the events of WW3, which decimated global society. Before and during the war, each major developed country had its secret projects to create the perfect super-soldier using genetic engineering, mixing humans with animals.

Trivia

Zoey's primary interests include building and repairing personal computers, gaming computers and laptops as a hobby, and playing video games, and shi likes to do outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and urban exploration. Shi is also enthusiastic about some aspects of motorsport, however, that mostly includes tuning and customizing cars, and sometimes racing them.

Shi also enjoys creating mods for games like Fallout 4, BeamNG.drive, and Skyrim and is quite a notable mod author with nearly a hundred thousand downloads across multiple websites. Shi hosts hir mods on LoversLab, which is a website dedicated primarily to game mods with adult theme or content, however, most of hir mods do not feature any such material.

Shi has made hir fursona's outfit in Fallout 4, which is available for public download.

Hir most extensive mod is for Fallout 4, called Wastelanders, which adds 10 boss-level NPCs that the player can fight for endgame rewards. Hir most popular mod, by contrast, is for Skyrim, which adds several new models and textures for players to use to turn their Argonian characters into anthro dragons.

Shi built hir own computer desktop, and pre-COVID, shi used to build and sell gaming PCs for supplemental income. Hir personal laptop is a highly customized HP ZBook 17 G2, a 2014 mobile workstation with many upgrades and customization such as custom copper heat pipes for the CPU, a technically unsupported GPU, a 120Hz upgraded screen, an extra cooling fan, USB 3.0 hub, and RGB lighting, many of which aren't normally upgradeable or customizable in regular laptops.
