Reinstatement

Protection of templates

You suggested that {{Featured article}} needs to be protected - why? Certainly, you can edit it, but that argument could be applied to every template, and indeed every page. As a practical matter, they have not been vandalized, probably because it would be rightly seen as a waste of time. Conversely, protection prevents regular users, such as yourself, from directly improving these templates. --GreenReaper^(talk) 06:06, 19 March 2014 (EDT)

Logos, other comic media

If you need some media to work on the "Comic of the Week" pages, you can peruse the Wikifur media galleries if you need some logos/comic panels to flesh you articles. Just FYI, and hope this helps - Spirou 04:05, 25 March 2014 (EDT)

Spammers

We appreciate the effort you're putting into Wikifur, including helping clean up spam and vandalism. I wanted to make you aware that we have several admins who check the recent changes regularly, and if a new user creates a spam page or userpage with spam in it, we generally discover these and deal with them quickly, often in under an hour. When you blank these pages, it adds a couple extra steps for us in doing this, as we then have to pull up the page history to view the old version to confirm it's spam. So when it's new or very recent activity, please leave it alone.

If the spammer has modified or added to an existing non-spam page, go ahead and revert it. If it appears malicious or particularly egregious, use your judgment - we'll still catch it eventually and we won't be upset with you if it's not always what we would have done. Finally, if it appears we've overlooked one of these spam pages (especially if it's over 24 hours old and there is evidence of more recent admin activity), go ahead and blank or edit it - while we catch >99% of the spam/vandalism early on, occasionally something slips past our radar, so any activity that will float it to the top of the recent changes should bring it to our attention.
