Recent Vandal[edit]
Looks like we hit that block at the same time, question though, which one applies as I blocked for 3 days you blocked for 30. o.O; --Nidonocu - talk 05:57, 10 Sep 2005 (UTC)
- Probably both. Yours just expires first. :-) --GreenReaper(talk) 06:00, 10 Sep 2005 (UTC)
- Second point actually, all their edits just disappeared from RC, how so? o.O --Nidonocu - talk 05:59, 10 Sep 2005 (UTC)
- I clicked on their IP address to get contributions, added ?bot=1 to the URL to make it look like I was a bot, then opened all the rollback links in new tabs. Hey presto, disappeared edits, and the reversions don't show up on recent changes unless you look specifically. Neat, no? :-) --GreenReaper(talk) 06:03, 10 Sep 2005 (UTC)
- We can use this to reduce the effect of the spam attack on recent changes. --GreenReaper(talk) 15:58, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- Nifty! :D --Nidonocu - talk 06:05, 10 Sep 2005 (UTC)
User #213[edit]
I just wanted to comment on the fact that there is a slight problem with this user account in that its technically impossible to talk to them since # isn't a valid title for a page. Both [[User:#213]] and [[User talk:#213]] will fail to work. Is there any chance we can sort something about that? --Nidonocu - talk 14:38, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)
- I believe that is a feature intended to stop people seeing which users were affected by an IP block by just showing their internal ID number (unless there really is a user called #213, but I don't think there is). Since (I think?) only one user was banned, it's pretty easy to see who that was. --GreenReaper(talk) 15:54, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Exclusion[edit]
I would to be totally excluded from the content pages of this wiki (both in pages about me, and pages that could logically mention me), and the page said to contact an admin, and so I'm contacting you to have that done.
Note that this is about me, Shanya Haisunäätä Almafeta, US author. There's another Shanya Almafeta with a different middle name (which I can't recall off hand), a Russian artist, who might feel differently about being included. Almafeta 14:13, 3 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Um.. this is a joke right? o_O You're a major contributor. o_o As far as I can see, there are no main article namespace pages that mention such a name either. :P --Nidonocu - talk 15:24, 3 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah, I contribute, but with this wiki's stance on vandalism, I wouldn't want to be on it. =p Almafeta 19:41, 3 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- What stance on vandalism? o.O I believe we are all firmly against it last I time I checked. No fact unless its true, no opinion unless its balanced with another. o_o; --Nidonocu - talk 22:08, 3 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah, I contribute, but with this wiki's stance on vandalism, I wouldn't want to be on it. =p Almafeta 19:41, 3 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Thanks, I guess[edit]
-Kiyo Thanks for editing my page, I guess. That's one thing that drives me insane about wiki-anything, anyone can edit it without the permission of the original poster.
- Well.. one of the things about wiki is that you do have to give up the right to own what you write here so..anything you right becomes property of everything. Therefor everything has the right to view it (people can't delete it just cause they don't like it) and edit it to make it better. The Wiki community will always stop people from making bad edits so you don't have to worry about any good parts of your work being lost. ^_^
- For example, I just fixed the link to your user page just now in your first post to me. Remember internal links, place a pipe | between the 'page name' and the 'displayed word'. ^^; And I've also formatted that nice picture you uploaded so its got a boarder and thumbnailed. :) Happy Editing! --Nidonocu - talk 23:44, 3 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Link to the wiki?[edit]
Hey GR, I was just quoting WikiFur in a post on LJ and I tried to link to http://furry.wikicities.com/wiki, however as you can see that 404's unless you include the trailling /! Could you speak to those at Wikicities to see if they could fix this little bug for us? ^_^; --Nidonocu - talk 10:56, 15 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- It's not really a bug . . . you just pointed at the wrong page. I don't think automatic redirection works with /wiki, which is special to start with and not really a "real" directory, but I'll ask. For now I would recommend you edit the post or repost if it's a comment. :-) --GreenReaper(talk) 15:45, 15 Dec 2005 (UTC)
Furry Fiesta[edit]
Yes, I'm here. Everything is begginning to be a-okay ^_^
Yes, i'm new. But we already edited at Furry Fiesta --Furry Fiesta(talk)
Why you reverted edit on Tl;dr[edit]
Was it because what I added in my edit was Tl;dr? SleepAtWork 16:53, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
You never answered this after a month!!! SleepAtWork 05:37, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe he wasn't here? --GreenReaper(talk) 06:09, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
Protected articles[edit]
Regarding the protects I put on four articles a few minutes ago, I only set them to 'registered users only', not to 'sysops only'. I'm not sure how much it will help - some of today's vandalizers were registered, and if people want to vandalize WikiFur they will probably just go after other articles. But maybe it will help a little, and at least keep the front page clean. --mwalimu 00:15, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- As yet we don't have a partly protected so those will have to do for now I guess. ^_^;; I didn't place the Fur Affinity one at the top so at least it won't scare people off. I'll pull them off again when the articles get unblocked. --Nidonocu - talk 00:23, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Hey Nidonocu, RVDDP2501 here, listen, I just wanted to say thanks for reverting the damaged done to the Onex page by those vandals, I appreciate your time and effort in fixing pages such as mine, if you would like to talk/discuss on how to improve my pages, I am open to all ideas and opinions. - RVDDP2501 20:33, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Image copyright status[edit]
Hello Nidonocu,
This is in regards to Image:Berserker20.gif, Image:Killingspree5.gif, Image:Killtacular4.gif, Image:Killtrocity6.gif, Image:Rampage15.gif, Image:Runningriot10.gif, and Image:Triplekill3.gif. They have not been tagged with a copyright status. This can be a complicated area, so I can try to help if you need any. The Wikipedia Image use policy may give some background, but it isn't policy here.
To deal with this image, there are a few choices:
- If you are the copyright holder, release it under a free license, for example:
- Public domain {{PDImage}}
- Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike {{Cc-by-sa-2.5}}
- GFDL {{GFDL}}
- If you are asserting that this image is usable under fair use, add an appropriate fair use tag. A very basic summary is that fair use is used for commentary, criticism and review on the image when no free image could be used instead. Some fair use tags are:
- Logos: {{logo}}
- Covers: {{Cover}}
- Comic panels: {{Comic-panel}}
- If the image is already under a free license, provide information on the license, and tag the image if you can.
- If you would like the image to be deleted, ask any administrator
To see a list of current copyright tags available on WikiFur, see Category:Image copyright tags If the copyright status is not resolved, the image may be deleted.
Unless you have a question for me specifically, I'd prefer responses on the page for the image. --Rat 09:01, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
Request For Review[edit]
Once again, the Popping draft page is ready for review. In the continued interest of not wasting everyone's time, it'd be really peachy if one of the Admins could finally resolve this long-neglected issue no later than October 24 2009, 11:59 PM EDT —Xydexx 19:38, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
