This is a page where I keep notes to myself. For actual info on me, see my user page. If you want to leave a message, use my talk page.
Contents
Todo[edit]
Things I intend to create/improve at some point. Don't let something being on this list stop you from creating/improving it first!
Articles[edit]
- Board of Trustees — Furry Twitch Team founded by Kris Yim (Twitch, Twitter)
- Brony/My Little Pony/My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic — very long articles, significant duplication of content, "Brony" was a single paragraph when decision to merge was made, is now very worthy of being its own article (see talk page)
- Furries United Network — Furry Twitch Team (Twitch, website)
- Furtastic (esports team) — furry esports team; unrelated to Furtastic (website, Twitch Team)
- Pooltoy/Pool toy/Inflatable toy — Currently redirects to article about plushies, seems distinct enough to be its own thing to me; currently focuses much on them as an object/paraphilia, lacking info on pooltoy fursonas/OCs
Articles about meets and conventions[edit]
- BicK (Beasts in center of Kyusyu) — Japanese convention
- OKIKEMO! — convention in Okinawa, Japan
- SouthFurs — very outdated, seems to have become or superseded by SouthernFurs. Also seems to have been a group known as SouthWest Furs (that *isn't* SouthWest Furs) that *also* used the name "SouthFurs" at some point. Confusing.
- Super Furry Fusion — missing info on related convention "Winter Furry Fusion"
Articles about media[edit]
- Billie Bust Up — video game currently in development
- Cartwright and Tenner — webcomic by Glaz
- Gunfire Reborn — Hong Kong-made roguelite video game with anthropomorphic animal cast (website)
- Smasher and the Will o' the Thiccs - fat fur video game made by CreatureUnknown
- TFTuesday Podcast — furry podcast focusing on transformation (Twitter, YouTube)
- TransFur News — defunct news site regarding transgender/furry intersectional issues; questionable notability, was very short lived (Website, Twitter)
- Vulpwood! — upcoming (but long delayed) animated series by ShadyVox and Jan Animations, originally announced in 2018 (IMDb)
Articles about species (real and fictional)[edit]
- Various anthropomorphic Dungeons & Dragons races. There are a lot, could potentially be listed/summaries on main article. Below list only includes official races in 5e.
- Aarakocra — flight-capable anthro birds, typically resembling birds of prey (eagles, hawks, etc.)
- Bugbear — large, furred humanoids ostensibly based on bears, though appear much more humanoid than most races on this list
- Dragonborn — humanoid/dragon hybrids
- Grung — anthro amphibians, resembling frogs
- Harengon — anthro rabbits and hares
- Kenku — flightless anthro birds, typically corvids
- Kobold — anthro dragons
- Leonin — anthro lions
- Lizardfolk — anthro reptiles, resembling lizards
- Locathah — anthro fish
- Loxodon — anthro elephants
- Owlin — anthro owls
- Tabaxi — anthro cats
- Tortle — anthro turtles/tortoises
- Phonodroid/Phonotron — anthro animal music players created by Smorbee
- Vottle — fox-like anthro robots ([1])
Articles about people[edit]
- Braeburned — outdated.
- Brutalmoose — popular YouTuber (825K+ subscribers) and anthro artist; questionable validity; had previously confirmed was a furry in Tumblr Q&A but seems to be deleted now, apparently attended Furry Fiesta at least once (website)
- FeatheredFlint — voice actor and Twitch VTuber (Twitch, Twitter)
- Kamex — furry musician (YouTube, Stream channel with RetroSpecter, Twitter)
- Mic the Microphone — former brony musician, now a prominent furry VTuber (31K+ followers) (Twitch)
- Pyrocynical — popular YouTuber (4.6M+ subscribers) with a fox fursona
- RetroSpecter — furry musician and artist (YouTube, Stream channel with Kamex, Twitter)
- Will Toledo (aka, Mortis Jackrabbit) — furry lead singer of w:Car Seat Headrest (NME article, fursuit tweet, Know Your Meme post)
- Xerxes Qados — outdated. Is now the lead singer of w:Dog Park Dissidents, which seems like a rather notable change of circumstances.
- Viva Reverie — furry/brony animator with a bat/spider fursona
Templates[edit]
- {{cite forum}} — for citing forum posts, blog post comments, or other snippets of content typically viewed in situ of the surrounding context
- {{cite AV media}} — for citing time-based media (aka, audio or video) where information relating to timecodes is necessary
- {{cite newsgroup}} — for citing newsgroup threads or posts, could be an extension of {{cite forum}} with some newsgroup related aspects pre-filled
- {{flagdiv}} — could use documentation; flag icons are somewhat inconsistent and could be improved
- {{italic title}} — could use additional functionality to only italicise parts of titles
Meta templates for elements common to multiple citation types (author lists, date formats, etc.) might be a good idea too.
Other[edit]
- Slightly reducing the size of references in the global stylesheet might be nice. Wikipedia has this as a global style now, and it seems like {{reflist}} was supposed to do this, but it currently only creates columns.
[citation needed][edit]
What's the best template for the job?
I am referencing...
- an article from an academic journal —?
- a book — {{cite book}}
- a blog post — {{cite web}}
- unless on a service where posts don't require titles and/or any written content (e.g. Tumblr, Facebook) —?
- a comic book —?
- a comic strip —?
- a forum post —?
- a magazine article —?
- a newsgroup post —?
- a newspaper article — {{cite news}}
- a podcast episode —?
- a press release — {{cite news}}
- a radio show episode —?
- a social media biography (e.g. Twitter, Facebook) — {{cite web}}
- a TV show episode —?
- a tweet on Twitter — {{cite tweet}}
- a video —?
- a video game —?
- a web page — {{cite web}}
- unless an article on a news website — {{cite news}}
Citing different pages in the same book or magazine? Or different time codes of the same AV media? Might wanna make a simplified version of Wikipedia's {{r}} template for this case.
