Weekend Furry Retreat is an all-ages furry online convention founded in 2022. Registration is free and all programming and events are accessed online.
History
Weekend Furry Retreat was started by Liam and Lumi Tucker, staffers of the former Camp Tiny Paws, which ceased operating in 2021 due to venue closures resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.[1]
Programming consists of panels, art, games, stories, and music livestreamed on Twitch and YouTube. An online Dealer's Den page, titled the Craft Lodge, showcases listings from furry artists, artisans, and creators offering wares and services.[2]
Weekend Furry Retreat's charity of choice is Tapestry, a Western Massachusetts non-profit organization that provides sexual and reproductive healthcare, food access and family nutrition and harm reduction.[3]
2022
Their first event took place on August 12-14, 2022.
Guests of Honor were K'gra Leopard, Nobody, and D. Walker a.k.a. Hopeful Monster.[4]
33 official registrants were reported, with over 50 unique viewers across all online streams. Over $2300 was raised in donations to Tapestry.[5]
2023
Their second event is scheduled for August 11-13, 2023.[6]
